Requirements and Procedures

All applicants must have at minimum, a high school diploma or GED and also be at least 17 years of age.

Enrollment and Start Dates

New students are able to enroll at anytime. The admissions staff welcomes the opportunity to discuss the educational and career-related plans Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 9:50PM and Saturday and Sundays, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Students are encouraged to call the school in advance.

Attendance

A student that has accumulated absences that equal 15% of the course length may be dropped from the school roster according to circumstances.

Make-Up Hours

Students may be granted the privilege of making up scheduled hours and class work at the convenience of the school and with the permission of the director or designated representative. There will be no charge for make-up hours.

Students may be permitted to make up hours and class work after their scheduled graduation date at the discretion of the director. This permission will be granted provided the student has satisfied advance payment for the required hours. Make-up time must be completed according to a schedule determined by the director or designated representative.

Leave of Absence

A student may, at the discretion of the director, obtain one leave of absence. It is the responsibility of the student to request a leave of absence in writing and in advance. A leave will only be granted for valid reasons. A leave may be granted for up to ten calendar days and shall not exceed fifteen calendar days. An extension may be granted for emergencies and/or mitigating circumstances. Students returning from an authorized leave of absence must be evaluated to assess retention levels.

The length of the leave determines the type of evaluation administered. Evaluations will be administered via practical, oral or written examinations. Evaluations that are administered become part of the students’ permanent records. A leave of absence has no effect on satisfactory progress.

Uniforms and Supplies

Clean uniforms are to be worn at all times. A student must be dressed and appear in a manner that is acceptable to the school and the appearance enhancement industry.

All equipment designed for use during classroom studies are furnished throughout the school while student kits contain supplies and materials for individual use.
